These gliders are from the Sorong Islands in Indonesia. They were first brought to the United States in 2011. Their fur is darker than a standard sugar glider. The fur could be considered very dark gray or even black. All ebony sorongs are similar in color but can have different traits. Some have very dark knuckles. Others have black fur on their face and around their mouth. And some even have black fur under their chin. You might even be surprised to find white on their cute little bellies. Overall they are darker than a standard gray sugar glider, similar to what the industry calls a black beauty, but not the same. One thing for sure, they are beautiful, unique and ready to brighten up your world.
